Michael Kleiner has operated his home-based public relations and site web design business in Philadelphia since 1999. In 2003, he received the Home-Based Business Advocate of the Year Award from the U.S. Small Business Administration for Region 3 (PA, DE, MD, VA, DC, and WV). Kleiner co-founded the Small Office Home Office (SOHO) group within the local business association. A nine-year member of the business association board, he served as President in 2006 and 2007. He brings a wealth of experience as a journalist and public relations practitioner, receiving awards for his work. His focus is authors, small businesses and special events/milestones with expertise in media relations. As a web site is an extension of an organization’s public relations/marketing program, Kleiner provides one stop shopping and consistency. He is an author himself, having written Beyond the Cold: An American’s Warm Portrait of Norway, which in 2009 received first place in the Beach Book Festival, and honorable mention in Nashville, New England, London, Los Angeles and Do It Yourself Book Festivals. In 2003, Kleiner received The Communicators Award of Excellence, its highest honor in the international competition. His strengths are creativity, innovative ideas and enthusiasm as he strives in “Making the Unknown Known.” Kleiner is a member of the Public Relations Society of America and its Independent Practitioners Alliance, and the Sustainable Business Network of Greater Philadelphia.
